Many fans, close friends, and family members were devastated after the news of Aaron Carter's death made headlines over the past few days. More recently, one of his ex-girlfriends speaks out about the matter to recall their previous connection.
In an interview with Access Hollywood while promoting her new Netflix holiday movie "Falling for Christmas," Lindsay Lohan recalled her memories with the late singer, saying Aaron was a big part of her early years in the Hollywood industry.
"So many (memories) from when I was so young, just that era of my life," she said while also confirming that they haven't spoken to each other in a long time.
The "Mean Girls" star also offered her prayers to the late musician's family, before adding, "may he rest in peace and God bless."
The ex-couple previously dated after Aaron and Hilary Duff broke up.
Aaron Carter Relationship History
In a previous interview in 2005, as reported by Us Weekly Magazine, the singer said he "got a little bored" with Hilary so he started to get to know Lindsay Lohan. The two were linked in 2002.
Speaking to People Magazine, the "Freaky Friday" star said she was friends with Aaron before and he thinks he was a cool guy.
The most publicized relationship that Aaron had was with Hilary Duff. The ex-couple started dating on his 13th birthday.
The "Perfect Man" actress also paid tribute to her ex-boyfriend amid the news of his death, saying she's deeply sorry that life was hard for him and he struggled with a lot of things publicly.
She recalled her relationship with her ex, saying he had a charm that was "absolutely effervescent."
Aaron Carter's Death
Aaron Carter died at the age of 34. He was found dead in his bathtub at his home in Lancaster, California.
In recent reports, law enforcement sources revealed that there were no signs of foul play at the scene. The singer also didn't leave any suicide note that may indicate that he took his own life.
As of this writing, no official cause of death has been confirmed by authorities yet until toxicology results are finished.
Days before his passing, a video of him made rounds online, showing that he had an alarming behavior during an Instagram live for his fans.
