Francesca Battistelli
No - it's not Franny's birthday being celebrated, it's her 23rd Dove Award nomination! This week, she got the nod for Pop/Contemporary Album of the year for her #1 selling album, If We're Honest, which hit stores in April of this year.

Since her debut in 2008, Francesca Battistelli has earned a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Gospel Performance, won six Dove Awards (including Artist of the Year in 2011) and 23 Dove Award nominations. Her debut album, the gold-certified My Paper Heart, and her 2011 sophomore release, Hundred More Years, both hit #1 on Billboard’s Christian Album chart, while If We’re Honest, went to the #1 spot on the Christian overall SoundScan chart. With over a million in album sales to date and nearly 2 million single downloads, she is the best-selling new artist in the Christian genre in over a decade. This year she made her national morning TV debut on ABC's "Good Morning America" performing her hit single, “Write Your Story.” This was followed by a performance of the song on "Fox & Friends." Battistelli’s music has also been featured on major motion pictures and nationally televised ABC, NBC and FOX shows.
