Panic struck fans of country performer and American Idol contestant Josh Gracin when the vocalist put a disturbing message on his Facebook page that read like a suicide note. Local police responded to the report however and found Gracin alive at his home. The threat seemed to stem from relationship issues with his wife Ann.

"I've loved her for 17 years..." it reads. "I made mistakes...I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most...I love you all.. You have given me the greatest gift. You allowed me to touch your hearts with what I loved to do the most...Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music...Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye."

That's some intense stuff, and in the days following the unexpected suicide of Robin Williams, plus the sudden death of former Idol contestant Michael Johns, and the world wasn't ready to deal with more.

Gracin's manager tweeted an update via his Twitter account stating that the performer was alright, and the musician himself even got on to amend his previous messages.

"To all of you...I apologize dearly for what I have put you through today," he wrote. "I am ok and I am getting help. I am so sorry to all of you."

We're okay with him being sorry, but it's better that he's safe.

Gracin placed no. 4 on the third season of American Idol, drawing attention for being the "singing Marine." He went on to release four albums, the first of which produced no. 1 country single "Nothin' To Lose."
