The Grammy Nominees for the 2023 awards show have been announced, and it is going to be an incredibly competitive year.

Every song on this nomination list deserves to be there, and of course there were also many deserving numbers that unfortunately didn't make the cut. With the constant outpouring of media, it can be difficult to keep up. It is often the case that people have not heard or seen all of the impressive works nominated within one category.

One of the categories for which this rings most true is Best Music Video. However, as this year's line-up boasts such an incredibly impressive slate of contenders, we would not be doing our jobs unless we make sure you have seen all of them.

These are the six music videos nominated for Best Music Video for the 2023 Grammy Awards.

"Easy On Me" by Adele

The music video to Adele's iconic song Easy On Me has rightfully made its way onto this year's list of nominations. The star has a way of artfully telling open and beautiful stories through her music videos. Her decision to do the music video in black and white as she moves away but transition into color, with sheet music flying into the windows, as she frees and finds herself is a *chef's kiss* perfect music video moment.

"Yet To Come" by BTS

Naturally, BTS is also on this list. The music video to their smash-hit song Yet To Come also managed to make the list of those nominated. If there were a word to describe this video it would be clean, and that is a HIGH compliment. As the band is known for, every movement, picture, and moment is specific and precise. The sharp lines and striking imagery make this video a fighting contender for the award.

"The Heart Pt 5" by Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar's The Heart Pt 5 is one of the most artistically nuanced pieces on this list (and that's saying something!) The Heart Pt 5 marks the fifth installment of Kendrick Lamar's The Heart series. In this one, he uses deepfake technology to transform, throughout the course of the video into O.J. Simpson, Kanye West, Jussie Smollett, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, and Nipsey Hussle in order to emphasise the ideas of perspective. It is a powerful commentary on race and fame.

"Woman" by Doja Cat

Doja Cat embodies absolute power in her music video for Woman. Through a fantastical interpretation of the song, we see Doja Cat fight off those trying to take her throne from her. In the video, she harnesses the power of full femininity and full power. The song is a compelling call for women to band together rather than tearing each other apart. The dancing and imagery in the video strikes an empowering balance, making this video an exciting contender for the win.

"As It Was" by Harry Styles

One Direction alum Harry Styles has become known for his stylistic and, dare we say, quirky imagery. His nominated video As It Was fits this description perfectly. The vibrant visuals including both the scenery and his incredibly costumes (are you SEEING this sparkling red jumpsuit?!) make this video a moving celebration of light and color. As It Was is coming into these awards ready to fight for the title.

"All Too Well: A Short Film" by Taylor Swift

What list of nominations would be complete with out a cameo by our girl Taylor Swift. Her ten minute long music video to her song All Too Well is not simply a music video: it is a short film. By definition, the star has blurred the line between music and film, giving us a well constructed, narrative masterpiece. (Are we surprised?) This brilliant composition tells the true story of Swift's past relationship and heartbreak. It is a gutting, emotional, and beautiful piece that, much like every other video on this list, will be hard to beat.

There you have it. Even if you don't know a single other piece in a single other category, you are armed and ready to have some OPINIONS when the announcement of Best Music Video comes up. Who do you think is going to win?
