Is Ice Cube wealthy enough to walk away from a $9 million movie contract simply because he did not want to get vaccinated against Covid-19? It seems like the rapper has a lot of projects and ventures to cover the cost he lost.

The rapper appeared in an episode of "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" podcast, where he revealed that he will be standing his ground on the anti-Covid jab.

"I turned down a movie because I didn't want to get the motherf**king jab. I turned down $9 million because I didn't want to get the jab," he said.

Despite his conviction, he also admitted that he does not know where he stands in the industry following his refusal.

"F**k that jab, and f**k y'all for trying to make me get it," Ice Cube said. "So, I don't know how Hollywood feels about me right now."

He later explained that he did not turn down the job, but rather was refused by the producers: "Those motherf**kers didn't give it to me because I wouldn't get the shot. I didn't turn it down. They just wouldn't give it to me."

'Oh Hell No'

Ice Cube, born O'Shea Jackson, is a rapper, producer, actor and filmmaker. His net worth is an estimated $160 million.

Variety noted that the production required all cast members and personnel to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and the filming was to be in Hawaii during the winter of 2021.

Problematic?

Aside from being known for being a rapper and the harsh but hilarious boss from "21 Jump Street," Ice Cube is also known to share some really interesting thoughts on several topics, such as antisemitic sentiments.

In 2020, he received backlash on the Internet after sharing antisemitic memes and Russian propaganda. At that time, the rapper posted a mural with anti-semitic caricatures on Twitter.

Among his tweets about racism and police brutality, the rapper managed to share anti-semitic memes.

He addressed the controversy by tweeting: "My image was cropped. I get along with every race on the earth."
