Bad news for Morrissey fans! For those who are looking forward to seeing the singer perform this weekend, it appears that he will not take the stage in Twin Cities as he just canceled his concert; what could be the reason?

According to the Star Tribune, the 63-year-old musician was supposed to perform at the Filmore in Minneapolis, but the venue took to Twitter to announce that the show had been canceled.

"Minneapolis, we regret to inform you that this Friday's Morrissey show has been postponed," they captioned the post.

Organizers of the event assured fans that they would give an update regarding the rescheduled show as soon as they can.

In addition, they also shared the band's longer statement, saying they're sorry to announce the postponement of their shows this weekend "due to ongoing illness."

They expressed their gratitude to fans for understanding their current situation as a band as they wanted to prioritize their health.

Fans should keep their tickets as they are working on rescheduling their canceled shows for 2023. Morrissey will resume his tour in Washington D.C. on November 28.

The statement did not reveal whether the singer is directly affected by the illness or not.

Per the outlet, this isn't the first time Morrissey canceled a show in Minneapolis as he also postponed a tour date after rescheduling it twice at the Orpheum Theatre in 2013.

The latest news comes a week after Morrissey performed at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California, where he walked off stage 30 minutes after the show began.

In early reports, the musician performed the song "Girlfriend In A Coma" when all of a sudden, he left the stage without addressing his problems.

Later that evening, a production staff announced that the show will not move forward and apologized on behalf of Morrissey. This concertgoers to boo from their seats.

"Sorry, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the show is not going to continue. Very sorry. We'll see you next time," the staff said.

Other reports claim that the singer stopped performing due to the cold weather as the temperature on the outdoor venue was around 49 to 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

As of this writing, Morrissey has not publicly commented on the matter.
