Megan Thee Stallion's label ruckus with 1501 Entertainment has continued and is now sneaking toward Roc Nation soil.

In exclusively obtained legal documents by All HipHop, it was revealed that Megan had sought a protective order for Roc Nation Chief Executive Officer, Desiree Perez, against 1501 Entertainment in connection with the latter's heated battle with the female rapper on her previous contract.

Based on the filing, Megan, through her legal camp, is claiming that 1501 Entertainment, led by Carl Crawford, has issued a subpoena to the CEO, calling the move an "underhand tactic."

"1501 is intent on harassing Perez and disrupting her responsibilities as CEO of Roc Nation. But Texas law does not give 1501 a license to use discovery for these purposes. The apex doctrine is applicable where, as here, a party seeks to distract a senior executive from their duties to sit for an improper deposition," the filing reads.

However, Megan Thee Stallion's lawyers have admitted that Perez actually had "some knowledge" of the rapper's general affairs but not of her finances.

"1501 does not seek to depose Perez for any legitimate reason, and the posture of this dispute reveals that 1501's hope is to avoid having its motion decided on the merits," the filing further says. "The Court should not condone what is, at best, gamesmanship or, at worst, an abuse of the judicial process. Accordingly, the notice should be quashed and a protective order should issue."

Earlier this month, Megan was granted by the Harris County Court a restraining order against 1501 Entertainment after it had "unlawfully" made efforts to block or interfere with Meg's use of her music prior to the American Awards 2022.

In a high-profile lawsuit she filed in 2020, she alleged that 1501 Entertainment, thru Carl Crawford, "tricked" her into signing an "unconscionable" record deal in 2018 - a thing that she had not realized until she signed up with Roc Nation later on.

Earlier this year, she also filed a separate lawsuit against the music label, accusing them of declassifying her album "Something For Thee Hotties." The label fought back, alleging that the album did not meet the qualifications for it to be called an album. "Something for Thee Hotties" is Megan's compilation album that contains 21 tracks.
