Corbyn Besson is celebrating his birthday today! As fans share their warm greetings on social media, let's take a look at the pop star's life, career, and more!

Born Corbyn Matthew Besson on November 25, 1998, the singer is now 24 years old! He spent his early days in Dallas, Texas. He grew up with two siblings named Jordan and Ashley.

Since his father was part of the military in the Air Force, the singer didn't have a permanent home state to stay at as his family moved around the United States a lot. (via WiLD 949 Interview)

They eventually settled in Dallas where he studied at Centreville High School. Growing up, he was fond of music as he began singing songs by Michael Jackson and the Backstreet Boys.

His parents weren't that strict when he was a kid and he had a lot of freedom. He liked riding his bike alone around his area, climbing roofs, and many more.

At the age of 12, he received his first instrument ever, an electric guitar. At the time, he still didn't know if he would pursue music as he enjoyed doing other things such as sports, art, graphic design, video games, and more.

However, he started teaching himself how to play the guitar and eventually sang through Xbox in voice chat. He wanted to remain anonymous as it felt safer for him.

After sharing his recordings on voice chat, he received positive responses from other people, making him gain more confidence which eventually led to him posting song covers on his Instagram account. (via Tiger Beat)

Why Don't We Career

Besson was encouraged by a classmate to post his cover songs on a broadcasting site called YouNow. He eventually had fans and earned money by doing so.

After his parents found out about his interests, his father invited him to take part in an open mic karaoke at a coffee shop where he performed in front of fewer than 20 people.

The pop star then focused on his solo music career. He debuted with the song "The Only One" in 2014.

During his sophomore year, he had the opportunity of performing on the Impact tour along with other social media personalities. At the time, he was joined by Jack Avery and Zach Herron who later became his Why Don't We bandmates.

He later performed on another tour where he met Jonah Marais. He also became acquainted with Daniel Seavy as he messaged him after watching him on the hit reality TV singing competition show "American Idol."

The group was later formed and they managed to amass thousands of fans worldwide.
