Metallica is staging a huge comeback next year with the release of their '72 Seasons' new album and their upcoming 2023 and 2024 world tour!

The Metallica new album "72 Seasons" would be the band's twelfth studio album to date, and it would be released via the band's Blackened Recordings imprint.

According to Billboard, the new Metallica album would be the band's first full-length project since "Hardwired..To Self Destruct," which was released in 2016.

Today's grand announcement also kicked off Metallica fans' craving for new material; the metal band released their lead single, "Lux Æterna" the sixth track on the new Metallica album "72 Seasons." Check out the full tracklist below:

According to the band's Instagram account, the new Metallica album "72 Seasons" release date would be on April 14, 2023.
