Remember the New Kids On The Block? One of its lead singers, Jonathan Knight, is celebrating his birthday today, Nov. 29, 2022!

Formally known as Jonathan Rashleigh Knight-Rodriguez, Jonathan is one of the members of the famed 80s boy band, New Kids On The Block.

Composed of Jonathan and his brother Jordan, along with Joey McIntyre, Donnie and Mark Wahlberg, and Danny Wood, the New Kids on the Block paved the way for the more modern boy bands like NSYNC, Take That, and Backstreet Boys.

New Kids on the Block are known for singing hits late 1980's hits, "Please Don't Go Girl" and "You Got It." One of their singles that was released in 1990 was "Step by Step." 

However, Knight is the most popular among the rest, as his split from the band in 1994 sparked the eventual disbandment of the group eventually.

Born Jonathan Rashleigh Knight-Rodriguez on Nov. 29, 1968, Jonathan, now 54, was the oldest member of the band New Kids On The Block.

He was born in Massachusetts to Canadian parents who served in the Episcopal church. He is also one of the six children, Sharon, Allison, David, Christopher, and her younger brother, who was also in the band, Jordan.

Since the New Kids On The Block was formed in 1984, they have produced a total of six studio albums, including their most recent album in 2013, called, "10." They also released a Christmas album in 1989 and an EP in 2017 titled "Thankful."

They have also toured the world, and they have the latest co-headlining tour with Salt-N-Pepa, Naughty by Nature, and Tiffany titled the "Mixtape Tour."

With all the fame and fortune the band had, Knight also received a part of it. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Jonathan McKnight's net worth is estimated to be $14 million as the pop group was reported to have sold more than 70 million albums around the world. 

Since he left the band in 1994, Knight did not immediately pursue an entertainment career. Instead, he focused on real estate development in New England. 

But in 2021, Knight pursued television as the host of the HGTV show "Farmhouse Fixer," in which he restores centuries-old New England farmhouses for clients.
