Adele knows better than to put her vocal cords at risk, after all, she previously had surgery in 2011, and she described the experience as "traumatizing."

And a lot is at stake with her new residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which is why she was abnormally quiet during World Cup games and did not cheer on England.

"One of the key features has been protecting her voice in between the Friday and Saturday nights," a source revealed to The Sun.

Adele's dedication to giving a flawless performance has caused her to give up having conversations.

"She wants it in top shape for each show and is going to extreme lengths. So before shows, she rarely speaks to anyone, and if she does, then it's a whisper," the source continued.

This might prove to be more difficult because her home country's team is participating in the World Cup, and Adele can't scream and shout in support of them.

"Usually she'd be screaming and shouting in support of the boys, but she is holding it in for the sake of her cords," the source added. "It's quite a sacrifice."

"People know she is not being rude, but looking after herself. It is about staying healthy and strong."

Vocal Cords Crisis?

According to reports, the "Someone Like You" singer had surgery on her vocal cords in 2011, and since then, Adele has been very careful with her cords.

She talked about the experience: "It was a bit traumatic. Thank God my voice healed. I stuck to all of the rules they gave me."

Additionally, a source revealed that The Colosseum at Caesars Palace installed a "complex" system to assist the singer in protecting her voice.

"They've had complex systems installed before, but this one really is on another level. The system works by combining dehumidifiers, purification units, water molecule dispersal, and cooling fans in the preparation room and then guiding that air around the stage when she performs. Adele is getting the best possible air to protect her voice."

This comes after news of the 34-year-old singer cemented her Las Vegas residency recently.

"Weekends With Adele" shows began on Nov. 18 and until Mar. 23, 2023, and even added new shows on Dec. 30 and 31. However, according to reports, all of Adele's shows are sold out.
