Mariah Carey impressed fans with how she handled her near-wardrobe malfunction event.

Carey graced a stage at a Moët & Chandon event in New York City with a performance on Monday night. The "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hitmaker donned a black gown that made her stand out even more.

But the audience felt worried after she came close to suffering a wardrobe malfunction - and she handled it professionally.

In a video shared by stylist Danielle Priano on Instagram, it can be seen that the singer's glam team joined her on stage as they fixed her dress.

Following the release of the clip after her performance, Carey also shared a video on her Twitter account to explain what happened.

"It was very, very close to being a full-on scandal! But we made it work. But we got it back. And everybody was super professional, we got on stage with glorious jewelry. But yeah, so I just had to make up a little song about, like, 'We makin' dresses, da da da da-aa,' I don't know what it is. But, you know, it was just a freestyle moment," she explained.

Carey noted that, while it was unexpected, they managed to control everything and prevent an unwanted event from happening.

Mariah Carey's Fashion Emergencies

It was not the first time Carey experienced it, though.

In 2013, she spearheaded the "Good Morning America" summer concert series and sang several songs for her fans and audience members. After singing her hit song, "Always Be My Baby," she rushed to change her dress but it was left unattached.

Because of that, she accidentally said her favorite four-letter word to address the mischief.

A similar thing happened when she was presenting at the So So Def 20th Anniversary Concert in Atlanta in the same year. At that time, Carey was wearing a strapless dress that seemingly slipped down a little and showed a bit of her chest.

Amid these experiences, Carey always makes sure to handle them professionally without letting them affect her performance.

After her recent New York City appearance, she showed her support to "Mariah Carey's Winter Wonderland" in Roblox's Livetopia. The four-day virtual performance will start on December 21 at 7:00 p.m.

"Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year! This year, I wanted to do something different to ring in the holiday season. My kids and I live for Roblox, and we couldn't be more excited to be creating this festive metaverse experience for everyone!" she said.
