Aerosmith informed fans on Sunday night (Dec. 4) that the band's Monday night (Dec. 5) "Deuces Are Wild" Las Vegas residency event has been canceled due to singer Steven Tyler's rapidly declining health.

Steven Tyler himself told his bandmates that on his doctor's suggestion, he's taking more time to rest. The band therefore decided that they would rather be on stage surrounded by the finest fans in the world than anywhere else. They give their hearfelt apologies for thier decision.

At the time of publication, the band has not disclosed any new information regarding the 74-year-old singer's condition. All the fans know that he has been unwell for some time now, given all the repeatedly cancelled show. The only logical conclusion can be made is that he is truly unwell.

It's unclear if he's suffering from an illness or from a rebound addiction.

This is the second gig this week that Aerosmith has had to cancel owing to Tyler's illness. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded; refunds will be offered at the point of purchase for all other tickets. The band's current Deuces run is scheduled to conclude later this week with performances on Thursday (Dec. 8) and Sunday (Dec. 11) at Dolby Live at Park MGM, which were still on their schedule as of press time.

Earlier this summer, Aerosmith canceled some gigs to allow Tyler to voluntarily enter a treatment facility. The singer, who has previously suffered with addiction, said he relapsed after using painkillers following foot surgery.
Aerosmith was forced to cancel its performance at the Dolby Live theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas on Friday, December 2 owing to an undisclosed illness sustained by 74-year-old vocalist Steven Tyler.
The concert would have been part of the band's ongoing "Deuces Are Wild" engagement in 2022. (which began on June 17). According to Blabbermouth, Aerosmith published a message through Twitter "about two hours before the event" (around 9:45PM ET).

Although Aerosmith's announcement generated numerous warm and encouraging replies, many ticketholders were understandably upset. For example, one Twitter user that he has spent months of planning and loads of money invested to fly here to come see the band, and then they had to cancel at the last minute after sound check.

Tyler was in fine form when he joined Eminem onstage to perform "Sing for the Moment" - which samples Aerosmith's classic "Dream On" - during the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
