Keith Urban just revealed that he would spend 16 nights in the spring at Planet Hollywood's Zappos Theater.

The 13-time CMA winner's residency in Sin City, however, is apparently already being eclipsed by the popularity of Garth Brooks' show, and Nicole Kidman's husband is reportedly feeling "deflated" as a result.

Keith's performance will begin on March 3 and continue until March 18. Between June 16 and July 1, he will return to the venue for additional performances.

But now, a close friend told Radar Online, it seems like Keith is only the fans' second choice.

"Keith imagined he would be the musical star of the desert next year, but now it will be like 'Well, Garth is sold out, we might just go see Keith," they said.

The insider continued by saying that Garth's Las Vegas concert is already anticipated to become a smash hit.

Following Garth's announcement that he would be extending his Las Vegas residency until 2024 due to the huge demand, word of this competition between two country music crooners emerged.

The "Friends In Low Places" described how, despite his fears that the tickets wouldn't even sell, he received a call on the first day of the on-sale informing him that the events for the full year had already sold out.

He added, "And all of a sudden, it hits you - 'They want to extend this!' Well, the only thing better than one year at Caesars Palace in Vegas would be two years, right?!!"

In contrast, Keith Urban previously had a multi-year residency event at Caesars Palace that was incredibly popular but was cut short in 2020 by COVID.

The singer-guitarist who is Australian-American admitted to People magazine that he was first hesitant to do a residency since it would demand a lot of energy.

However, Keith acknowledged how much he liked the residency and how it "changed" him after completing it in 2019.
