Boogie Wit Da Hoodie's "Me vs. Myself" houses a rare gem-a PnB Rock collab entitled "Needed That." The posthumous appearance comes months after the rapper's untimely death back in September, which has left many feeling quite nostalgic and sad.

"Pnb Rock was my favorite artist since I was 16. I'm now 24. I vividly remember when "IDK" came out so hearing them together after all these years and all the work they put in makes it all that much more amazing. Long live big PnB forever," a fan commented on the video that accompanied the song.

"The evolution of their music is so beautiful. I listened to "IDK" and then this right after and all I can say is wow, so proud! I miss Rock. RIP."

"A Boogie Wit da Hoodie x PNB Rock forever an undefeated duo Rest up PnB," another wrote.

The video, uploaded on YouTube, has over 162,000 views with 11,000 likes and thousands of comments all saying one thing: Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and PnB Rock's flow is like no other.

"Needed That" followed a failed relationship, and the rappers take turns singing and rapping between the chorus and verses.

"Tryna drown my pain out with this Styrofoam / And on days when you see me I be all alone," PnB Rock raps. "Birthday in December, she left me in the winter / Everything was different, that's what I remember."

Friendship

The Bronx rapper explained why he decided to release the song, despite not wanting to release songs featuring fallen artists.

"It feels like a weird tension towards that. And I don't like that at all so I separated his song from my album, and I'm dropping it solo as a deluxe," Boogie Wit Da Hoodie explained.

Aside from this reason, it might also be perhaps because he and PnB Rock go way back. They teamed up for "IDK," released on SoundCloud six years ago.

By all accounts, Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and PnB Rock were close, and the former even paid tribute to his long-time friend and collaborator on Instagram.

"Until we meet again, Forever in my heart is where I keep you friend," he wrote on the late rapper's birthday.

According to HipHopDX, "Me vs. Myself" boasts 22 songs with several other featuring artists like H.E.R., Lil Durk, Kodak Black, Tory Lanez, Don Q, Roddy Ricch, and more.
