Dolly Parton has dismissed rumors that her breasts were so hefty that they "broke" her back. For a while though, she said these wild rumours have circulated like wildfire, to the point that people thought she could not walk and has became a "cripple."
During an interview with ET Canada, the country music icon was asked to dispel "wild rumors" regarding her personal life. Dolly began her argument by citing a National Enquirer report that said her breasts had rendered her "crippled."
"Oh, heavens, I've heard everything. There was one time Enquirer magazine (said) that my boobs were so heavy that they had broken my back down and that I couldn't get up, that I was going to be crippled for the rest of my life," she said, before adding: "And I thought, well, they are big and they are heavy, but I can still get around... I'm doing all right."
Dolly acknowledged in another part of the chat that she has "a few" tattoos and always sleeps with a full face of makeup when on the road. The 76-year-old said that she always wear makeup, and if she does not get my hair straightened, she always keep a wig on a lamp shade or anything, because you never know when you'll have to escape a place.
In the meantime, there is a persistent rumor that Miley Cyrus will portray Dolly Parton in a biopic, which Cyrus has absolutely refuted. Miley Cyrus, Dolly's actual goddaughter, already possesses the vocal ability and family ties to impersonate the country icon.
On the Dec. 15 broadcast of E! News (airing tonight at 11:30 p.m.), Miley said exclusively that Dolly have never really discussed her portraying Dolly because she feels like she si already doing it.
Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus will co-host NBC's second annual Miley's New Year's Eve Party special, which Miley told E! News will be "very different" from last year's spectacular with Pete Davidson.
And similarly to last year's celebrations, viewers can anticipate a night full of fun and musical moments, with hopefully fewer dress mishaps. But if things don't go according to plan, Miley claimed she and Dolly won't be afraid, since they have a "unspoken, 'I've got your back,'" bond.
Recently, Dolly Parton recently concluded the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony by performing a new rock tune. Last month in Los Angeles, the country icon was honored during a ceremony where she embraced her newfound rock star status and reiterated plans to release a rock album. "I'm now a rock star!" she exclaimed. This evening is really meaningful to me.
