Gunna and YSL Records Co-Founder Walter White had been freed from jail after undertaking a special plea deal. Meanwhile, the leader of the pack, Young Thug, remains in jail ahead of his planned 2023 trial.

But, Thugger, in his own way, has secured a legal win on his own recently.

Days after Gunna and White was released, Young Thug was put into a pre-trial hearing, discussing the legality of one of the pieces of evidence gathered from his house.

According to AllHipHop, the embattled rapper was seeking to have an evidence stricken out from the records that were obtained from his home in 2015.

Apparently, it was one of the many gathered evidence from the rapper's house in a seizure that was made in 2015.

Now, in a legal victory, Judge Ural Glanville, the same presiding judge on Gunna's case, tossed the evidence from the raid at the time, ruling the search operations as unconstitutional.

"You didn't have the right to keep that," Glanville commented. "You didn't have the right to keep that particular evidence."

Now, the evidence cannot be used by the prosecutors as it is already inadmissible. This is a complete turnaround in the past few hearings, as Young Thug has relentlessly pursued to be freed from bond release before his actual trial in 2023.

Fans are obviously thrilled with the news, especially with District Attorney Fani Willis' continuous and determined crackdown on the rappers' case of RICO.

"Fani Willis lookin terrible right now. They say Thug and Gunna pretty much had the #1 and #2 best lawyers in the state. Makes sense," a fan tweeted.

Meanwhile, public perception of Young Thug and Gunna's case is divided following the special release of Gunna, as many people believed that Gunna's release meant that he snitched on Young Thug and the others.

Gunna has since denied these claims, as the deal actually made him plead to the offense while still maintaining his innocence.

For those who do not follow, Gunna has pleaded guilty to his RICO charge, sentenced to five years in prison. However, his seven months in prison had already been deducted from his total years, now remaining four years. A special condition on the remaining four years of Gunna is still being decided.

But as for Young Thug, it is not known if he was given this kind of plea deal or not. And because he was not yet offered this, he will remain in jail for the time being until a conviction is served after his January 2023 trial.
