Alan Jackson has recently celebrated two major milestones - and his Country Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award is another story.

While simultaneously commemorating another occasion, his wedding anniversary, the well-known country singer made the announcement about the birth of his first grandson.

On December 15, Ali, his 29-year-old daughter, and Sam Bradshaw had their first child, which Alan announced on his social media platforms.

In a tweet, the "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" hitmaker wrote, "Denise and I are celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary with our new grandson Jackson Alvie Bradshaw."

"Ali and Sam welcomed Jack into the world on Dec 13, 2022. So happy that this little guy has made us grandparents! -AJ"

Alan has two kids with Denise, his wife whom he married in 1979. Dani, 25, and Mattie, 32.

The country music icon announced his "baby (was) having a baby" in an Instagram post on July 25 of this year.

While speaking to Jenna Bush Hager for "TODAY" last year, Alan Jackson discussed the legacy he hopes to leave as his family expands.

"I've always thought that music, namely the songs, is the most important thing, and that's what I'd like to leave behind if I had a legacy.

Alan Jackson CMA

Meanwhile, in November, Alan Jackson was presented with the Country Music Award and Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.

The singer-songwriter was celebrated during the ceremony on Nov 9.

The honor is given to a performer who has achieved the highest level of success in the country music industry. It honors a performer who has elevated their profile on a national and international level through performances, charitable work, philanthropy, streaming, record sales, and public appearances.

Although Alan describes himself as a singer of "basic tunes," his songs-like "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning")-combined with his uncomplicated voice earned him a spot in the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, among other honors.

Alan Jackson Illness

For more than ten years, Alan Jackson has also struggled with Charcot-Marie-Tooth illness. It is a neurological and neuropathy condition.

Despite battling it for eleven years, he revealed last year that his disease had become worse and more incapacitating the year before.

However, the disease's symptoms have started to stand out more recently.

He reportedly acquired the illness from his father, which is hereditary and now incurable.

"It's getting more and more obvious. And I know I'm stumbling around on stage. And now I'm having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable."
