Cheryl is expected to earn one of the highest fees in the history of the West End, with sources claiming she will earn £750,000 for four months of work on "2:22 A Ghost Story." That's almost a million dollars, or USD $910800.00 to be exact in today's exchange.

The 39-year-old singer, who will make her West End debut in the play the following year, has agreed to play the part despite her lack of acting experience, in the hopes that she will increase ticket sales.

Girls' Aloud member Cheryl announced earlier this month that she had joined the cast of the terrifying stage thriller, replacing Laura Whitmore, who will leave the production in January.

A source told The Sun that the producers are aware that this will get people talking, but it will also raise eyebrows, considering there are so many actresses out there with already established portfolios. Still, for the money to be given her, she'll certainly strive to do her best.

Despite facing criticism for her casting due to her lack of acting experience, it was previously reported that Cheryl would earn at least £100,000 for her role in the play.

After signing up to appear in 106 shows, The Sun reported earlier on that an industry booker revealed that Cheryl is getting around £1,000 a show. The number is slated to be higher, given the sales.

"'The deal is £100,000 but will also be linked to ticket sales so if she helps shift around 80% of seats then she'll be entitled to more money on top of that," the insider said.

Cheryl was just announced last week as the new lead in the popular play, replacing Laura Whitmore in the role of Jenny.

Cheryl enthusiastically announced the news on Instagram, declaring, "This is a completely new experience for me." The actress has previously portrayed herself in the film What To Expect When You're Expecting and had a small role as a ruthless music agent in the upcoming film Four Kids And A Baby. 'Hey!!! .. I am SO excited to be starring in the west end thriller @222aghoststory !! I will be playing the role of Jenny from January - April!"

Cheryl wrote on Instagram alongside her cast photo. "I went to see the show with a previous cast and LOVED IT ! It is a totally new and exciting experience for me so if you're looking for a fun night out & some entertainment in your new year tickets are available now....whenever you're ready !! #222aghoststory."

The news was greeted with an avalanche of messages from Cheryl's famous friends, with Laura Whitmore, who currently stars in the show, exclaiming she's going to enjoy the experience for sure.

Giovanna Fletcher, who had been cast in the role previously, welcomed her to the family.

Jenny was first played by Lily Allen when the West End play premiered in the summer of 2021. The singer received rave reviews and a nomination for Best Actress at the Olivier Awards.
