SZA and Lizzo have been friends for years that's why many were confused that the former didn't collaborate with her good pal on her recent album. Little did fans know, the singer contributed vocals for the album and the album's producer revealed they have more unreleased songs together.

The singer is popularly known for her R&B tracks but there was one specific song on "S.O.S." that caught the attention of many as the musician seemingly jumped from one genre into the other.

In "F2F," many believed that it sounds like an Avril Lavigne track and fans didn't know that Lizzo herself contributed to the track's vocals.

"We just happened to have that one pulled up the day that that Lizzo was there," Rob Bisel, one of the producers, said.

According to Carter Lang, also a producer and songwriter, SZA and Lizzo freestyled over the beat of "F2F" which was initially titled "Charlatan."

Later on, Bisel went on to reveal shocking information about the two pals, saying there's not only one song they recorded and wrote together.

"There's definitely a handful [of tracks with Lizzo], I don't want to incriminate myself here, but there's some stuff floating around for sure," he added.

As of this writing, SZA has not released any songs featuring Lizzo in her 23-track album, but fans wanted her to drop more tracks in the Deluxe edition of the record.

In an Instagram live, the R&B star confirmed that she is currently working on the deluxe/extended version of her project, saying a song titled "Boy From South Detroit" featuring Lizzo will be on it.

Lizzo Not the Only One Who Didn't Make It to 'S.O.S.' Standard Edition

Although Lizzo didn't make it to the standard edition of "S.O.S." as one of the featuring artists, SZA previously confirmed that another artist was originally a part of the album but wasn't able to record their part.

According to Billboard, the musician hinted a collaboration with Doja Cat back in July when she performed at Mad Cool Festival. She said the rapper would appear on the lead song "Shirt" but many were confused when she was nowhere to be found when the track was released.

In a virtual interview with HOT 97 a few weeks ago, the singer confirmed Doja wasn't able to record her part because she had surgery on her vocal cord.

In addition, there was also a "crossfire" between both of their managements.

"I hope for the best, and I'm still, like, a major fan of her and her artistry. And I think she's so incredible and I would love to get her on the deluxe," she added.
