Earlier this month, Vanilla Ice slammed Wiz Khalifa's Juicy J and Ty Dolla $ign-assisted "Shell Shocked" from the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film and Wiz has finally broken his silence on his fellow rapper's criticism.

During an interview with MTV News, Wiz said that he respects Ice's opinion.

"I felt like his opinion was super valid from his standpoint because A, he's passionate about this music and B, he did have something to do with "The Secret of the Ooze", so he's allowed to have personal involvement," he said. "But at the end of the day, if he met me and talked with me he wouldn't feel like that."

As an artist, the "We Dem Boyz" rapper says he knows Ice meant no harm with his comments. "With all respect due to the artists – and I'm one of them people – I'm very, very particular about words," Wiz explained. "So, just them words right there let me know where he was coming from. He wasn't hating at all."

Ice, who is responsible for the track "Ninja Rap," which appeared in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of The Ooze, said Wiz's track didn't feel authentic.

"With respect to all of the artists, the song doesn't really do it for me," Ice said. "It feels a little artificial––what I mean by that is that it sounds like a bunch of executives in the corporate world put it together. It really does not fit the theme of the Ninja Turtles legend."

He went on to say, "I think you have to understand, and be a true Ninja, to possess the Magic to really pull off the secret sound."

Guess Wiz Khalifa was missing the magic. Check out a clip from the interview below.
