Each year around Halloween, Universal Studios Hollywood puts on Halloween Horror Nights. For this year's festivities, the theme park is welcoming in a three-dimensional maze titled Clowns 3D. And to keep it all the more entertaining, they've brought in the likes of Slash to pen the score for the attraction.

In the below video, the guitarist can be seen talking with John Murdy, creative director of Halloween Horror Nights, at his studio where he created the theme for the now-titled Clowns 3D: Music By Slash.

"This is the first time we've ever worked with a rock and roll icon to create original music for one of our attractions," Murdy tells us.

Donned in his signature black hat and glasses, the musician explains that he was "honored" to take on the job. "I came down to the park and just lost my mind. It was the coolest, greatest scary event that I'd ever been too."

When asked his favorite part of the attraction, the former Guns N' Roses musician claimed the Black Sabbath maze was "one of the coolest things" he's ever seen.

On the score, Slash states the ideas came to him instantly. He told Murdy, "As soon as you mentioned it I started hearing ... basically what you think of when you think of clown music. I heard it in this big bombastic way, and I thought this could be really, really cool."

The guitarist admits that the mixture of his sound along with the terrifying nature of Clowns 3D will make for a very "unique" experience.

Be sure to stop by Halloween Horror Nights and check out the premiere of Clowns 3D on Sept. 19 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
