It's been almost three years since Grimes released her previous album "Miss Anthropocene" and it appears that new music isn't coming anytime soon as she revealed something about her career these days.
Taking to her official Twitter account, the musician said her upcoming record "BOOK 1" is delayed because of minor legal stuff. The singer also noted that she doesn't want the attention that her album brings.
Regarding its official release, Grimes said she would still drop the project and more music in the future because she owes it to her fans.
However, her personal life gets involved like her babies, best friends, and family despite what she does, adding, "the narrative doesn't belong to me. my friends/ fam r my whole Life - this is their battle too." (via Billboard)
Speaking about her future in the business, the electropop star, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, said she'll always release music but she considers it as her "side quest" at the moment.
The reason behind it is that having reduced pressure and increased freedom combined would lead her to make more music.
"Low key I'll always do my best to entertain whilst depleting my literal reputation I hope that's ok I love y'all," she concluded.

Grimes New Album's Previous Update
The recent set of tweets comes a few months after Grimes teased fans about "BOOK 1," saying her latest music project was almost done mixing.
At the time, Grimes noted she and her friend perfected the last song and she has 20 songs in total that's why they're thinking of releasing two albums and working on its format/tracklist.
Her previous album, "Miss Anthropocene," was released in 2020 and it featured some of her fan-favorite songs like "My Name Is Dark," "So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth," and more.
She then dropped two singles in 2021 and 2022 titled "Player of Games" and "Shinigami Eyes", respectively.
In August, the singer asked for recommendations on where she could get vampire teeth caps around Los Angeles or Austin because she wanted to have body modifications. She also wanted to have elf ear modifiers.
She later apologized to fans after discussing the matter as she finds it "weird." Grimes then revealed that she's less interested in conventional beauty.
