50 Cent is extending an olive branch to Megan Thee Stallion following his public "bad" joke about the female rapper before her trial reached a decision last December 2022.

Tory Lanez was found guilty of violently attacking Megan Thee Stallion in 2020 after a highly-publicized trial last month. As the trial was reported on social media, other hip-hop personalities had weighed in on the issue - well, even before the news came about - everyone was already giving their side to it.

50 Cent, known for his controversial statements in the past, amassed a mountain of backlash after tweeting a now-deleted meme.

The meme that 50 Cent posted sees Megan's emotional photo, shot during her exclusive interview with Gayle King, fading to child actor Jussie Smollett's photo.

"Damn i'm confused all this sh-t going around i don't know what to think. LOL," he said in a tweet, voicing his confusion about the rapper's statements and other witnesses during the trial.

For those who do not know, Smollett was convicted after trial, which indicted him for staging a hate crime hoax about himself. As for the "In Da Club" rapper, he seemed to not believe or was outright confused with the conflicting statements made on trial.

However, in an interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood, the "In Da Club" rapper said he is now apologizing to Megan Thee Stallion following his tweet.

"I'm gonna apologize to Megan Thee Stallion," 50 said. "I said some things, and it was because... On social media I posted things that, when she was with Gayle [King], she said: 'Were you intimate with Tory Lanez?' And she said: 'What?' and it was like, 'No.' And I was like, 'Ah, she lying.'," he admitted.

For 50 Cent, it was the recording of Tory Lanez and Kelsey Harris shortly after the accident.

"I should apologize to her, because when I heard the phone conversation - that made me feel like, 'Oh shit,'" 50 Cent admitted. "' Now I know what happened.' I'm sure that was probably what swayed people in court, too."

Tory Lanez is facing 22 years and eight months in prison. Tory Lanez's sentence will be formally given on Jan. 27, 2023. He is also facing potential deportation since he is a Canadian citizen.
