Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, has passed away.

She was 54 years old. The world was shocked to hear her in comatose on Thursday, January 12, night. But was shocked further to read that she has not survived shortly after.

The sole child of the pair, the singer-songwriter was allegedly hospitalized Thursday after suffering a heart arrest at home. Two days before, Presley had attended the Golden Globes, where she witnessed actor Austin Butler accept the Oscar for Best Actor in a Motion Picture for his portrayal of her father.

Her mother and three children, including the actor Riley Keough, survive her. In 2020, her son Benjamin Keough predeceased her. In her career, she has released three studio albums, the most recent being "Storm & Grace" in 2012.

When it was first reported that she had been transported to the hospital, others thought that she had attempted suicide. TMZ required clarification that she did not.

After suffering cardiac arrest, Lisa Marie Presley was placed on life support and given a temporary pacemaker, sources with firsthand information tell TMZ. According to the sources, Lisa Marie is in a coma and in critical condition. Thursday morning, Lisa Marie was in complete cardiac arrest when rescuers arrived.

TMZ was informed that her housekeeper discovered Lisa Marie unresponsive in her bedroom, and just as the housekeeper made this finding, Lisa Marie's ex-husband, Danny Keough, got home from delivering their children to school.

He administered CPR till the arrival of paramedics. Her pulse was restored after she received at least one epinephrine injection from paramedics.

She was then transported to a hospital nearby. According to the sources, Lisa Marie complained of intensifying stomach pains early Thursday morning. The sources emphasized that this was NOT a suicide attempt. 

Priscilla Presley requested prayers during the hospitalization of her daughter. The Naked Gun actress, 77, commented on Lisa Marie's condition on January 12 following reports that the singer had been transported to a hospital in the Los Angeles region for a medical issue. While Priscilla did not clarify why her daughter was hospitalized, she did request that supporters "pray for her and our family."

In was in Memphis, Tennessee, where she was born and her father began his legendary music career, she has also been recognized for her charity efforts in the areas of homelessness and literacy.
