Oasis' former vocalist Noel Gallagher and his wife of 12 years, Sara MacDonald are getting a divorce-and it might be all because of his partying. #

Gallagher might be making a comeback in the music scene and things are looking up for him in that aspect of his life, but his personal life is pretty much up in flames.

The former Oasis singer and his wife of 12 years, Sara MacDonald, announced their divorce through a representative.

The couple shares two sons: Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12, and they have decided to work out the custody among themselves.

"Noel and Sara will together continue to look after their children who remain their priority," the representative told People magazine, and added, "Noel and Sara ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time."

News of their divorce has sent shockwaves among fans, who genuinely thought the couple was built to last, after all, they had dated for a solid 10 years before they tied the knot in 2011.

However, the question that lingers in fans' minds is: why?

According to The Sun, due to the upcoming music, Gallagher has been more focused on things outside family time, which includes partying with friends and fellow celebrities like Bruce Springsteen, Stella McCartney, and Kate Moss.

Furthermore, according to reports, Gallagher has moved out of their family home and is now currently staying in north London.

Before his long-term relationship with MacDonald, Gallagher was married to Meg Matthews and shares a daughter Anais, 22, with the former music executive.

While the musician was married to Matthews, he met MacDonald in a nightclub in Ibiza in 2000, and they instantly hit it off.

He described their first meeting as love at first sight and recalled sharing a taxi with her, where he asked for her number.

"I remember keeping it like it was a religious f**king artifact," he added.

However, now that they are ending their decades-long relationship, Gallagher now has more inspiration to work with in his new music.

Gallagher's High Flying Birds is slated to release a new album this year, and have been gearing up for their comeback since December 2022.

The musician unveiled a 22-second teaser, which shows clips of himself singing in a recording studio.

The video was shot by his daughter, Anais, and the caption simply read: "17.01.23." Apparently, the release of his new song comes a day after the announcement of his divorce.
