The first wave of Grammy Awards performers were finally announced, but the A-listers like Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Harry Styles have yet to confirm their attendance.

According to The Recording Academy, the first eight Grammy 2023 performers are finally unveiled.

Sam Smith and Kim Petras, both nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their smash hit, "Unholy," will be performing the song at the ceremony.

4x nominee Steve Lacy will also be makingdoing his "Bad Habits" onstage, as Country superstar Luke Combs, nominated for three Grammys, was also slated to perform.

Mary J. Blige, which was considered a black horse by many because of her Album of the Year nomination, was also announced to perform, and so does Brandi Carlile.

Lizzo will be giving everybody a good time when she performs her feel-good anthem "About Damn Time" at the Grammys - it is one of the tracks poised to win either Record or Song of the Year.

One of 2022's biggest artists, Bad Bunny, is booked for the 2023 Grammys. Benito achieved an incredible feat with his "Un Verano Sin Ti," the first full-Spanish album to be nominated for Album of the Year.

Aside from them, it is expected that another set of performers will be announced before the actual ceremony on Feb. 5, 2023, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

However, according to Hits Daily Double, it would seem like The Recording Academy is struggling to book bigger artists for the show. The source revealed that Adele, one of the most-anticipated artists of the year, has bowed out to perform and attend the show.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and even Kendrick Lamar have not yet committed to attending the show, despite Beyonce and Kendrick scoring the biggest nods of the night with nine and seven, respectively.

If neither of the two of them attends the ceremony, including Adele, who was said to have been "definitively" not attending the show, the three most nominated artists of the night would be absent.

The outlet reports that Harry Styles and Jay-Z (possibly partnered with DJ Khaled) were still on the fence of their commitment too.

Moreover, Hits Daily Double theorized that issues "due to the present dysfunction of the Academy's inner circle" might be the reason for the performer hiccup.

The Recording Academy has been struggling to increase the viewership of the ceremonies in the past few years. The 2022 ceremony just had a minor gain in viewership with 8.93 million, while the 2021 ceremony hit a record-low of 8.8 million viewers.
