Like Moths to Flames recently made a big decision to remove one of their members from their official lineup after a controversy struck and made rounds on the internet; what happened?

Taking to their official Twitter account, the rock band announced that longtime bassist, Aaron Evans, will no longer be associated with them, "effective immediately."

The main reason why they decided to let go of their bandmate was that the group was made aware of the "numerous instances where he has abused the platform he was given within the band."

Concluding their post, the Ohio-based band opened their direct messages to fans and friends who wanted to reach out and discuss the matter.

As of this writing, the band has not shared more details about the alleged abuse, however, Metal Sucks reported that fans shared screenshots of their conversations with the bassist.

Evans is popularly known for being a member of Like Moths to Flames for years. He contributed to the band's most-renowned records like "An Eye for an Eye" in 2013, "The Dying Things We Live For" in 2015, and their most recent "No Eternity in Gold" in 2020.

Aaron Evans' Allegations Made Rounds Online

In the said messages posted online, one screenshot mentioned Evans having intimate relationships with several people and some of them were allegedly underage at the time.

A user named Rachel Smeltzer came forward with the allegations, saying the musician finds several women online and by traveling across the country with his band.

"He uses his clout from the band in order to do this to women. At this point I believe they are well aware of that, and are doing nothing to stop it," she wrote.

Further explaining what Evans did to her, the woman claimed the bassist encouraged her to move to Michigan when they were only two months into their relationship. Last year he allegedly promised that he already signed separation papers and would be divorcing his wife.

"when in reality their divorce isn't even final a year later," she added.

Smeltzer then claimed that the musician does everything to convince women about his genuine intentions. She was able to contact his sister and told her about what the bassist did, but she was disregarded.

"Even though they are well aware of his actions. His family is financially supporting his legal matters," she added.

As of this writing, Aaron Evans remains silent about the matter and has not issued a statement regarding the allegations against him.
