The conspiracy theory of Lea Michele being illiterate have been doing its round on the Internet, and even her "Scream Queens" co-star, Emma Roberts joined in on the fun.

During her appearance at "Watch What Happens Live," host Andy Cohen brought up the longstanding conspiracy, but the actress wasn't too forthcoming with her response.

"The biggest misconception is that she cannot read," Cohen said, to which Roberts joked: "Well, we have not been in book club together."

She then tried to add to her statement, but decided not to finish her thought, "No, she's..."

Despite laughing the rumor off and making a joke about it, Roberts did not really address whether it was true or not.

She did, however, have some nice things to say about Michele, "She's so down-to-earth and so talented, and she just deserves everything

"She's getting with all the 'Funny Girl' praise, and I couldn't be happier, truly," she then said instead.

Illiterate?

According to reports, the longstanding conspiracy theory goes as far back as 2017 when the "One More Thing" podcast discussed it.

Podcast hosts Jaye Hunt and Robert Ackerman deep-dived into the unfounded theory, which covered several instances that they deemed to be suspicious; like how Michele never improvised her lines in "Glee" because she simply memorized all her lines-which were allegedly read to her.

The pair cited the "Funny Girl" star's background as a child star as the reason, noting that she probably did not have time to go to school because of all the rehearsals she did as a child.

Billboard reported that the rumors have definitely reached the "Glee" alum, and she has addressed it several times before.

"I went to Glee every single day; I knew my lines every single day," she told the New York Times when the subject was brought up.

"And then there's a rumor online that I can't read or write? It's sad. It really is. I think often if I were a man, a lot of this wouldn't be the case."

"I have an edge to me," she said. "I work really hard. I leave no room for mistakes. That level of perfectionism, or that pressure of perfectionism, left me with a lot of blind spots."

Despite Michele's best efforts of clearing her name, netizens are bent on proving that she is illiterate, and Robert's comments did nothing to help her case.

"That's so Chanel Oberlin of her," a fan wrote, referring to Roberts' role in "Scream Queens."

"Not her fueling the drama," another added, with emojis, because everyone seems to think that will help Michele understand the tweets.
