A video of Paul McCartney's Abbey Road incident during which a car nearly hit him has been shared with the public.

The Beatles fans first learned about McCartney almost gotten hit by a car when his daughter, Mary McCartney, opened up about it in an interview with The Mirror. She revealed that her father agreed to recreate his band's famous crosswalk image for her documentary, "If These Walls Could Sing."

According to Mary, the car did not stop for the singer when she tried taking a picture of him.

"The bit where the car nearly ran him over on the zebra crossing, that was so funny," she said. "As we were leaving [the studio], I said, 'I'll film you [on the crossing],' and he went over, and this car totally didn't stop for him!"

A few weeks after Mary's interview, Abbey Road Studios released a video of the "close call" on its Twitter page. In the clip, the "Let It Be" singer can be seen stepping out onto the crosswalk just like how The Beatles member did for their "Abbey Road" album cover in 1969.

When he stopped and stretched his arm in both directions, a light blue Toyota Prius continuously drove past him, barely missing him. The incident made McCartney look stunned as he tried to get his body away from the vehicle in a span of a few seconds.

Fans Almost Got Hit in Famous Crosswalk, As Well

There is a possibility that the car driver did not recognize him, but fans expressed their rage as the driver should have stopped in a crosswalk. Some also shared the same experience Paul McCartney had.

One said, "Very few drivers seem to know their Highway Code regarding Zebra crossings, they HAVE to stop if someone looks like they're about to cross, much less actually on the zebra crossing - I've had to run for my life a few times too."

The recent incident also reignited the false death report that surfaced decades ago. For what it's worth, "Paul is dead" trended after a buzz claimed that The Beatles member got involved in a traffic accident along the M1 motorway.

The 1969 article, "Is Beatles Paul McCartney Dead?" by the editor of Drake Times-Delphic Tim Harper explored the rumors. It also included talks about the band's hint in its White Album track, "Revolution 9," saying that it proved the singer's death.

It eventually became global news, but McCartney himself later released his statement to dismiss the claims.
