The year is starting on a high for Anizzy, with his new EP dropping in just a few days. Titled You Against Me, the EP will be produced by Anizzy himself.

Anizzy, real name Aniketh Sanjiv is an upcoming singer, songwriter, and producer from Texas. Anizzy was born in India. He started dabbling in music when he was eight years old. He began by taking singing lessons and later moved on to tabla lessons from his renowned player Dexter Rhagunanan.

Although he had a penchant for music from a tender age, his parents discouraged him from pursuing it as a career. Aniketh dropped music for a while to pursue a degree in Business. However, in the way you can't escape your fate, music is the only thing that would keep Anizzy going while he pursued his degree. From this period of his life, he got his name Anizzy, a play on the word Uneasy.

He began to reignite his passion for music, and in 2021 he released his first album Fallen. In 2022, he followed up Fallen's success with Denver, Passion, and The Return singles.

Anizzy gets his inspiration from fellow artists and his cultural heritage. Artists who influence him include J. Cole, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, and Bollywood icon Arijit Singh. The Weeknd is an extraordinary influence on Anizzy because his style of mixing different genres of music is also a facet of Anizzy's style.

His cultural heritage motivates him because he thinks that although Indians are talented, they don't get enough representation in the music industry. In an interview, Anizzy revealed that, coming from two different cultures, he looks at music differently and thinks of fusing western hip-hop with Bollywood in a way no other artist has believed to.

This unique blend of hip-hop, R&B, and Bollywood has established him in the industry and what fans can look forward to in his new EP. You Against Me will have only five tracks, all of which the titles have yet to be released. As the name suggests, the EP takes the theme of a struggle between Anizzy and everyone else.

In it, he talks about rising above people who mistreated him, who never appreciated him, and who never had his back when he needed it. Unlike his songs with uplifting, almost motivational themes, You Against Me will take a more dark, emotionally heavy perspective. Given his uncanny ability to connect with his listeners by employing candid lyrics, fans can only expect songs that paint vivid pictures of his struggle with his cynics.

Although there is limited information on the EP, Anizzy has many press releases planned before the debut, where he'll be talking more about the project. Fans can follow him on his social media channels to get updates on the press releases and the EP. You Against Me is bound to not only put Anizzy on the map as an established artist but also shine a light on South India and its influence on his sound.
