More details about Lisa Marie Presley's last days revealed how much she suffered before her death.

Presley died on Jan. 12 after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital due to a possible cardiac arrest. The public offered mixed reactions as some of them thought it was sudden, while others claimed that the singer-songwriter showed signs days before her passing.

In her final interview with ExtraTV's entertainment reporter, Bill Bush, Presley displayed "worrying signs" of deteriorating health. Sky News Australia also observed her slurring her words while trying to answer the interviewer's questions.

Nearly a month after her death, sources exclusively told a news outlet that the "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" crooner suffered stress before and during the Golden Globes.

Presley reportedly became used to feeling anonymous when the COVID-19 pandemic started. The health crisis made her feel comfortable as she could leave her home while wearing a mask. With that, no one could recognize her including the paparazzi.

Sources said she did not want to be seen especially after her son, Benjamin, died by suicide in July 2020. In the years thereafter, Presley stayed at home and hid her face whenever she needed to go out.

Three months before the Golden Globes, Presley reportedly felt freaked out by the thought she would be under the spotlight because of Baz Luhrmann's "Elvis."

The new details came after news about her dramatic weight loss surfaced. The singer was said to have removed 40 to 50 pounds of her weight six weeks before the ceremony. Because of the stress she felt over the Golden Globes, she allegedly started taking opioids again.

Lisa Marie Presley's Cause of Death

Lisa Marie Presley's official cause of death is yet to be determined after the Los Angeles County coroner deferred following an autopsy.

LA County Dept. of Medical Examiner-Coroner spokesperson, Sarah Ardalani, told CNN, "Deferred means that after an autopsy, a cause of death has not been determined and the medical examiner is requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies. Once the tests/studies come back, the doctor evaluates the case again and makes the cause of death determination."

CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta added that the deferral might have been caused by some discovery on the initial autopsy, including infections, stroke, trauma, blood clots, or pulmonary embolism. The doctor added that the medical examiner's office wanted to evaluate more of her medical records and see further history.

Currently, the Los Angeles County coroner is waiting for the toxicology results that can help it determine Lisa Marie Presley's cause of death.
