Houston lived a life guided by her faith and religion, which is probably why she recorded an album dedicated to it and there is a documentary about her love for the gospels.
Just when fans thought they would never hear new material by the legendary singer, they were wrong.
Houston's estate took their time curating and crafting the singer's posthumous album for years before announcing its release to the public.
They finally announced that the album will be released later this year, but while fans wait, they can listen to "Testimony."
According to reports, the upcoming album will boast six unreleased songs, and will mainly focus on gospel songs, which Good Morning America noted as her "first love."
Songs that can be expected in the album include several songs from her movies "The Bodyguard," "The Preacher's Wife, " and the 2012 remake of "Sparkle."
"Jesus Loves Me, " "Joy to the Word," "Hold On, Help Is On the Way," "I Go to the Rock," and more.
The highly-anticipated six unreleased songs are Houston's version of "Bridge Under Troubled Water" which will feature CeCe Winans, "This Day," "He Can Use Me," I Found a Wonderful Way, "He/I Believe," and "Testimony."

Houston passed away in 2012 at age 48; she is considered one of the best vocalists in music history.
Several years after her death, Houston's memory is kept alive with the help of musicians who still cover her music, a newly released biopic "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," and the upcoming documentary and album.
The well-loved singer released seven albums since the launch of her music career.
She released her debut studio album "Whitney Houston" in 1985, followed by "Whitney" in 1987, "I'm Your Baby Tonight" in 1990, "My Love is Your Love" in 1998, "Just Whitney" in 2002, "One Wish: Th Holiday Album" in 2003, and her last album "I Look to You" in 2009.
Aside from being an accomplished and successful singer, Houston also dabbled in acting.
She famously portrayed the protagonist in "The Bodyguard," released in 1992, followed by "Waiting to Exhale" in 1995, "The Preacher's Wife" in 1996, "Cinderella" in 1997, and "Sparkle" in 2012.
