Stephen "Twitch" Boss shocked the entertainment industry last year when he was reported dead last December 2022.

The former Ellen DeGeneres Show musician was one of the most-beloved musicians in Hollywood.

Since then, his wife, Allison Holker, has been raising their family independently.

In a report from People Magazine, it was revealed that Boss died without leaving a will.

Now, Holker is asking the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County for half of the estate that Boss left since he did not have any will before he died. Holker filed a California Spousal Property petition.

Good thing that California law usually grants spouses half of their joint estate should make one pass away - all one would need is to file a petition to prove their marriage before the spouse's death.

The publication says that Holker was asking for "determination of property passing to the surviving" and "confirmation of property belonging to the surviving spouse."

Notably, Holker is not asking for administration on Boss' remaining estate, but only her part of it.

"This includes any interest in a trade or business name of any unincorporated business or an interest in any unincorporated business that the deceased partner was operating or managing at the time of death," the filing wrote.

Aside from this, the court documents that the publication had obtained explicitly shoes that before Stephen Twitch Boss' death, he lived in California during their entire marriage, as they did not have any black-and-white agreements in the past stipulating their concern on how the property would be divided after one's death.

Holker was asking only half of Boss's production company, his Goldman Sachs investment accounts, the royalties from Cast and Crew Production Services, his Disney shares, the GEP Talent services share, and the SAG/AFTRA shares he had.

Holker confirmed Boss' death in a statement he shared with People Magazine.

"It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us," Holker said in a statement. "To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won't be a day that goes by that we won't honor his memory."

Boss was survived by Holker and their three children.
