Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish need to make a collab!

Weeks before the release of Del Rey's upcoming ninth studio album, "Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd", she set down with Eilish for Interview magazine.

From the start of their interview, it was clear that Del Rey and Eilish had a lot in common, and how much the younger artist looked up to the "Summertime Sadness" singer.

"You were my lock screen on the first phone I ever got," Eilish revealed, much to Del Rey's surprise and delight.

While the interview started lightheartedly, as it progressed, another thing became apparent: both artists were the targets of criticism and hate over the years for the image they portrayed and the music they released.

"All of a sudden, I was walking down the street as I always did, and people would throw elbows at me. I was like, 'Oh my god, no way did that actually happen.' Someone recognized me and gave me a shove," Del Rey recounted an incident wherein a woman threw a "book about feminism at [her] face" in San Francisco.

It has been years since the 37-year-old singer first got into the music scene, with her breakthrough albums "Born to Die" and "Paradise", until Eilish got her breakthrough with her single "Ocean Eyes."

"For me, it was trial by fire. It's definitely a different era now," Del Rey added.

'Trial by Fire'

Despite both being wildly successful and talented, the pair have their fair share of haters, which has affected Eilish's mental state.

"But I have this inevitable feeling of, 'Oh, everyone hates me.' With the world of TikTok and social media, there is a level where it's kind of true, because there are these videos," the 21-year-old shared.

She went on to explain how she would chastise herself for scrolling too much on TikTok, reading the hate comments.

"They don't ever let anything go," Eilish continued. "You literally can't make a single mistake ever. No matter what you do to redeem yourself, it doesn't matter. They decide that's who you are and that you deserve death."

Although much hate comes their way every day, the pair could not stop praising each other throughout the interview.

Despite the haters, Del Rey and Eilish are some of the most accomplished artists of this generation, boasting best-selling albums and chart-topping music.
