Guns N Roses may be considered one of the most iconic rock bands of all time, but one member believes that if the modern era took place during the early days of their career, they would've been canceled; what made Slash think this way?
Speaking to Yahoo! Entertainment to promote his book "The Collection: Slash," the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer opened up about how the world was during the peak of his band's career, saying if the internet was invented back then, they "would not have fared well in this environment."
The main reason why he believed that group would be canceled at the time was that things were different back then and there were stuff that are acceptable in the past that would be unacceptable in today's society.
"I'm just glad that we didn't have the internet back then! It would've been a different world altogether.... most of everything that [Guns N' Roses] did would've gotten us canceled in this day and age," he added. (via Audacy)

Guns N Roses Update 2023
The recent interview comes after it was confirmed that the iconic rock band would headline the British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park this 2023.
Although Guns N Roses has not announced any upcoming tours yet, they will perform in the highly-anticipated concert on June 30, 2023. Current members including Axl Rose, Slash, Dizzy Reed, Duff McKagan, Frank Ferrer, Richard Fortus, and Melissa Reese, would be present at the festival's 10th-anniversary show.
Aside from the group, other musical acts would also perform at the BST Hyde Park this year like BLACKPINK, Gwen Stefani, Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band, Pink, Billy Joel, Gwen Stefani, and Take That.

In other updates, Slash's new book, "The Collection: Slash," is a collaboration with Gibson. The autobiography revolves around the backstories of the guitars he used throughout his decades-long career as a guitarist.
He also tackled the story of how he initially didn't want to be a musician. In the interview, the singer noted that although he grew up in the world of music because his late mother, Ola Hudson, was a fashion designer and stylist for superstars, he had no aspirations to enter the scene.
However, he "sort of stumbled into it" when he picked up the guitar when he was 15 years old.
