Kellie Pickler's husband, Kyle Jacobs, was found dead inside the couple's Nashville home.

Authorities confirmed Kyle Jacobs' death, revealing that they responded to a home in Nashville on Friday around 1:21 p.m. local time. The Nashville Police Department confirmed the development in a statement to People, adding that the Department of Emergency Communications received the call.

The Nashville Fire Department arrived at the location alongside the police. They found Jacobs dead at the scene after he died "from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound."

As of press time, the authorities are investigating his passing as an apparent suicide.

Pickler, who is a "Dancing with the Stars" alum, said she woke up but could not find Jacobs. She and her personal assistant then called the police after finding out that a room inside the house was locked.

Jacobs notably worked as a music producer before his death. He won an Academy of Country Music Award in 2014 after working as a producer on Lee Brice's hit, "I Drive Your Truck." He also worked with several artists before his death, including Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker, Garth Brooks, and Kelly Clarkson.

It remains unknown what led to Jacobs' apparent suicide.

This is a developing story.
