After decades of being apart, music's most legendary groups - The Beatles and The Rolling Stones - are joining forces for a new album.

Although it has been quite some time since The Beatles members last made music together, Mick Jagger and his band might be just what was needed to encourage them to reunite.

Paul McCartney has recorded "bass parts" for a new Rolling Stones "project," according to Variety.

Andrew Watt, 2021's Grammy Producer of the Year, is leading a collaboration between two music titans. This endeavor has been likened to an "Avengers"-level team-up.

Ringo Starr is also said to be featured on this album and will likely play drums due to Charlie Watts' passing in 2021 at age 80.

It is reported that recording sessions have been conducted in Los Angeles for some weeks now; however, there is some less-than-favorable news associated with it.

Though there have been recordings involving both iconic bands, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles' remaining members, are still determining which tracks will make it to completion. As Variety reported, this matter remains undecided.

Furthermore, it was still being determined whether Paul and Ringo would be featured on the same track.

The Rivalry Between The Rolling Stones and The Beatles

The Rolling Stones and The Beatles were two of the most popular and influential rock bands of the 1960s, and there was undoubtedly a certain amount of friendly competition between the two groups.

However, they were not always rivals and had a friendly relationship when they first met.

The Beatles played a role in helping The Rolling Stones get their start. In 1963, the Stones struggled to get their first hit, and The Beatles recommended them to their manager, Andrew Loog Oldham.

Andrew signed the Stones and helped them find success.

As both bands became more popular, some media hype pitted them against each other as rivals, with each group representing a different style and attitude.

Some fans also took sides and saw them competing for the music industry's top spot. But both bands have spoken about their mutual respect.

While there was undoubtedly some rivalry between the two bands at specific points in their careers, they also had a lot of mutual respect and appreciation for each other's music.
