Diane Warren has been a legend in the music industry after writing several songs that won numerous awards. However, despite having 14 nominations at the Oscars, the musician has yet to snag her first win.

In a recent interview with ABC Audio, the songwriter said she "already won" after her track "Applause" from the film "Tell It Like a Woman" was nominated at this year's event.

She added that her track was "already chosen to be one of five songs chosen by the best musicians, best composers, best songwriters in music and the planet... Whatever happens after that happens, but what a great feeling and what a great sign of respect."

In 2022, Warren was the first songwriter to receive the honorary Governors Award and even though she already had an Oscar, she still aims to win a regular one because her current trophy "gets very lonely."

"He just sits there on my piano. He wants a friend!" she added. (via Wilmar Radio)

This weekend, the musician will take the stage at the Oscars to play the piano with actress Sofia Carson as they perform the nominated track "Applause."

Speaking about the singer, Warren opened up that Carson was the perfect choice to sing the song because she's beautiful on the inside and it comes out naturally through her voice.
