In a statement, Mamaleek noted how talented Livingston was as he played several instruments like keyboards, saxophone, bells/percussion, violin, and more.

"His intuition and free-form style elevated our sound and created an unbridled dynamism that would be hard to behold anywhere else," they added.

Aside from music, the musician was also an artist as he was the one who designed the artwork for their album "Diner Coffee" which also has an animated version.

He also contributed to the visuals of several projects like "Elsewhere" and worked for other artists like Mike Patton for "Mr. Bungle" and "Dead Cross."

Per the outlet, Mamaleek's career skyrocketed in 2008 as a duo and they released two albums that immediately became a hit to their fans.

The duo has a unique form of the genre as they love combining black metal tradition with jazz and sometimes hip-hop and electronics. They later sought a deal with The Flenser and released an album titled "He Never Spoke a Mumblin' Word" in 2014, followed by four more. Their most recent project was "Diner Coffe" last year.

In a statement, the record label's founder, Jonathan Tuite, said Livingston's talent as an artist and his ability to inspire other people will be "unmatched," adding, "his infectious personality and positive attitude made him a pleasure to be around and his absence will be deeply felt."

On the other hand, Greg Werckman of Ipecac Recordings revealed that the multi-instrumentalist musician has been a longtime collaborator for the company and his outputs matched his unique personality.

"Eric was an awesome human being with a good soul and warm spirit," he added.

At the end of Mamaleek's statement, the band noted that their upcoming concerts at Roadburn and Oblivion Access would be dedicated to their late member.
