An insider told TMZ that his divorce from the Canadian rock star had taken the "Rich Kids Destroy Everything" rapper by surprise.
The rapper, actual name Derek Smith, is having trouble seeing pictures of the "I'm With You" singer kissing her new love interest.
"Mod's been down in the dumps since his separation from Avril, which was far from mutual," one source added.
They said, "As if being blindsided by the abrupt end to their engagement wasn't bad enough, he feels devastated by her budding romance with Tyga."
Avril and Tyga were spotted out and about in Paris for PFW and were packing on the PDA.
Numerous individuals witnessed the two locking lips during a Monday night function. Mod Sun was allegedly greatly triggered by such images.
