During Women's History Month, Mary J. Blige surprised music fans by announcing that she teamed up with Pepsi for Strength of a Woman 2023.

"It was amazing last year. It sold out in like an hour," Blige shared during her appearance at the "Sherri" show.

"Just the title alone. Strong women. Mother's Day. Women coming through stuff."

This will be the music festival's second run after its launch the previous year, but this time is a little more different and exciting.

According to reports, the Strength of a Woman Festival will take place in Atlanta's State Farm Area on May 11 to 14.

The festival and summit will include a star-studded lineup with performances from Grammy Award winner Robert Glasper, Lauryn Hill, Summer Walker, Jodeci, Jeezy, Lucky Daye, Saucy Santana, Muni Long, Coco Jones, Sunday Service Collective, and Busta Rhymes.

Method Man, Jada Kiss, DJ Drama & Friends, Mike Peeps, Henry Welsh, Erica Duchess, Navy Green, and more.

Strength of a Woman Festival 2023

Blige sang nothing but praises for the upcoming festival; not only will it include performances from talented female artists, but it will also give female-owned businesses a chance to shine.

"Having the opportunity to continue to uplift, inspire and build amongst a community of women is the reason why we created this festival," said Blige.

According to Billboard, the Strength of a Woman Festival was established in honor of women of all races and color as well as the LGBTQIA+ community.

"The Strength of a Woman Festival & Summit is a testament to the power of amplifying Black women and their voices," said Pepsi's senior vice president for industry relations and multicultural development.

"Starting with Mary, someone whose vision and presence has been instrumental in its success."

These sentiments were echoed by Nicole Jackson, the vice president of MJB Inc., and Ashaunna Ayars: "The popularity and impact of the [2022] inaugural Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit successfully showed how and why Black women are the blueprint for cultural relevancy and inclusion,

"Being able to look back and see the global reach the festival had through our livestream and billions of media impressions is confirmation that we are filling a void in the festival space."
