Can Nick Jonas truly play his guitar?

Talks about Jonas' faking his guitar plays all this time emerged after fans released memes about the Jonas Brothers member and his instrument.

On Twitter, the hashtag #NickCantPlayGuitar became home to various hilarious comments and memes again as fans question his guitar-playing skills. It all started when a viral TikTok video of the musician as he "was not playing anything."

Among the comments read, "Nick Jonas is about to make a tik tok playing the guitar isn't he," with another adding, "nick jonas does not know how to play the guitar is my new lea michelle can't read."

The latter comment referenced the conspiracy theory regarding Lea Michele's inability to read after she posted a video of her lip-syncing a clip from "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." The video has the text "Calling Jonathan to read me the comments on my first TikTok."

From there, the "Michele can't read" meme began, according to Know Your Meme.

Jonas' guitar playing skills will be tested on Jonas Brothers' appearance on Broadway for their "Jonas Brothers on Broadway" show.

Nick Jonas' Guitar Skills Have Been an Issue

It was not the first time Jonas' guitar skills were put under the spotlight, though.

In 2016, he appeared at the Academy of Country Music Awards alongside Kelsea Ballerini. The two shared a stage for her new single, "Peter Pan."

MTV noted that, while Jonas' outfit made him look like a rockstar, his 17-second solo quickly made the performance a botched duet. The musician lost his key and messed up the chords before ultimately giving up.

The blunder became the center of humor again, with California-based guitarist John Huldt doing his version of Jonas' mistake.

After the blunder, Jonas addressed the issue on Twitter saying that he messed up after a "huge brain fart."

"Just landed in London to all these videos from Sunday nights performance..So funny. Yes. I screwed up the solo thanks to a huge brain fart," he wrote. "We're all human.. And sh*t happens sometimes. But whoever made this... Truly genius."

Jonas has been known as a member of the Jonas Brothers and Nick Jonas & the Administration. He officially launched his solo career in September 2005 with "Nicholas Jonas." Among his other studio albums include "Nick Jonas," "Last Year Was Complicated," and "Spaceman."
