The summer season is fast approaching and several festivals have been releasing their official lineup as well as selling tickets over the past few months. However, there is one upcoming event where Harry Styles would be allegedly performing, but many fans pointed out the concert being fake.

Complex first reported about the issue, alleging that a music event called Festival Aurora had been scamming fans with its promising lineup.

According to their Instagram page, star-studded performers include Harry Styles, Troye Sivan, FKA Twigs, Doja Cat, SZA, Ice Spice, Tyler The Creator, Khalid, Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek, and many more.

The event will reportedly take place at Vieux-Port de Montréal from June 1 to June 3.

After the lineup made rounds online, fans, especially Harry Styles supporters, took to social media to call out the event for being illegitimate.

Most users noted that it's impossible for the "As It Was" singer to perform in Canada on June 3 as he has a concert in Paris the day prior and the Netherlands on June 4.

On the other hand, other performers were also booked during the dates mentioned above: FKA Twigs and Caroline Polachek will be in Barcelona.

The latter's management also confirmed that she was not booked to perform in Montreal that weekend.

It appears that Festival Aurora had been debunked by The Vieux-Port de Montreal, the overseers of the city's Old Port district, saying that they found out about the event through social media and no organizers have reached out to them.

"A festival with such popular names would have to be planned months in advance and neither the SVPM nor the other partners on our territory (Port-de-Montréal / Grand Quai) were approached," a representative noted. (via Complex)

As of this writing, the event's Instagram account is still active and tickets are being sold at different prices: $325, $275, and $350. In the span of five days, the event reportedly scammed people and was able to make $7,000.

Instagram user @mayorofmontreal did some digging about the festival and found out that the promoter, Groupe Cenari, was established just a few months ago.

Cenari also used American Express and Pepsi's logos for the event, alleging that they teamed up with the companies, but the credit card company debunked the claims and confirmed that they don't have a partnership with the said promoters.
