Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves will play a concert at Minneapolis' Target Center on Friday, but they made a special Minnesota stop the night before.

Currently on Perry's PRISM Tour, the pair celebrated Musgraves' 26th birthday with a private roller-rink party in the suburb of Burnsville.

We know the shindig and following birthday insomnia stretched past 3 a.m., thanks to some social media evidence from the mega-pop star and her country tagalong (via CityPages).

The retro reprieve was probably a nice break on what's shaping up to be a grueling tour schedule for Perry. While Musgraves drops out of the action in a couple weeks after a Sept. 1 stop in Edmonton, the star of the show will continue on well into 2015.

There's no doubt Perry and Musgraves have had a good time together, though. They recently recorded a new Wizard of Oz-inspired song, and Musgraves has been using the shows as an opportunity to spread the country gospel:

"It's going to be really interesting and really good for me, I believe, 'cause there are a lot of people who would probably never have heard country music otherwise," Musgraves said as the tour kicked off earlier this month. "So I'm proud to be an ambassador, and if I pick up some new fans along the way, I think that's great. I think with Katy, with her music and style, anything goes, and I think if people are just coming to hear great music and have a great time, it'll make sense."
