The former Barcelona defender stated that he is unconcerned about how others view him in public. After the two of them broke up a year ago, the Colombian beauty who was his ex-girlfriend has been targeting the 36-year-old and his new girlfriend, 23-year-old Clara Chia, in diss songs that she has recorded.
In a hit song that Shakira recorded with Argentine DJ Bizarrap and had published earlier this year, the singer attacked the new couple by comparing Clara Chia to a Casio and herself to a Rolex.

A week ago, she sang the song on the late-night program hosted by Jimmy Fallon. During the performance, she discussed the dissolution of her relationship with Pique and raised eyebrows when she revealed that her two children with the retired footballer were present in the studio audience.
In a recent interview conducted over the weekend, the former Spain international refused to answer a question about Shakira for the second time in less than a week, repeating an answer he provided on a Spanish radio station last Tuesday by stating that he "didn't feel like it."

However, in an interview with the newspaper El Pais in Spain, he stated that every parent is accountable for doing their best for their children. It is about making sure they are safe. That is an obligation that each and every parent has toward their own children.

Meanwhile, Montserrat Bernabeu, the mother of Gerard Pique, allegedly knew about his affair with Clara Chia Marti when he was still with Shakira. A Spanish media outlet disclosed that the former Barcelona player and the 23-year-old public relations student were living in one of his parents' homes, and that Montserrat disguised this fact from the Waka Waka singer.
Laura Fa, a journalist, stated that all is due to the fact that when the relationship between Piqué and Clara Cha began, they took sanctuary at a home owned by Piqué's parents in Cabrils, Spain. This comes after it was revealed that Shakira had constructed a wall between her and Gerard's parents' home, which is directly adjacent to her home in Spain, following their divorce.x
