Mac Miller Album Rumors Started Circulating in 2019

Just months after the musician passed away, there have been rumors circulating online about a possible posthumous album.

It all began when Miller's friend, Thelonius Martin, seemingly spoiled supporters that a collaborative album by the late rapper and Madlib called "Maclib" was in progress.

However, the producer debunked the claims by sharing an official statement, saying the record does not exist at the time and there were no plans to release the project in the future.

However, he later deleted his statement on his official website.

Mac Miller Death

On the morning of September 7, 2018, the musician's personal assistant found him unconscious at his home in Studio City. The PA immediately called 911 and performed CPR until rescuers arrived.

However, he was pronounced dead at the scene just a few minutes before noon.

Miller had many plans before his death as he was scheduled to film a music video that day and was about to go on tour later that year.

His cause of death was later determined as accidental drug overdose due to a "mixed drug toxicity."
