Shania Twain might be a country artist but it won't stop her from experimenting with other genres or mixing her current country sound with a hip-hop twist as she recently teased fans about a possible collaboration with a female rapper.

According to Pop Culture, the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" hitmaker took the stage of the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, where she received the coveted CMT Equal Play Award for being an outspoken ally against all forms of hate.

Megan Thee Stallion was the one who presented her award and the two even sat down together throughout the evening.

After receiving the special award, the musician spoke to Entertainment Tonight to express her feelings after sharing a surprising bond with the "WAP" rapper and it appears that the two might collaborate on a song together.

She told the outlet that the connection she made with the hip-hop star would result in a future track, saying "I think that that would really work... I love her whole mind."

Speaking about the rapper's personality, Shania Twain called Megan a "sweetheart" and she loves her as a person. She also praised her skills, saying she has a "great talent" and later joked that she was glad the "Savage" hitmaker didn't ask her to "twerk out there" while presenting the award.

"She was amazing and said so many sweet things and I was really flattered she was there for me," she added.

As of this writing, the two have yet to share more details about their collaboration.

According to Billboard, the CMT Equal Play Award is being presented to people in the country music industry who are vocal advocates against hate. They also improve diversity and raise "underrepresented voices" in the genre.

In her speech, Shania Twain said she will continue to shine a light on the many talented country artists who are not given attention.

"Let us, the country music industry, do our part to close the gap and provide an equal workspace for all talent. Let's ensure that all our fellow artists get equal play, regardless of gender, age, or race," she added.

In other updates, the female country singer also performed her song "Giddy Up!" during the coveted awards night.
