Katy Perry is making headlines once more for her behavior on "American Idol."

During an episode of the ABC singing competition this week, the 38-year-old "Thinking Of You" hitmaker was accused of "leaving Lionel [Ritchie] out" and "talking over him."

As they spoke to candidates Elijah McCormick and Lucy Love before they sang a duet of "My Girl," the mom-of-one appeared to speak over her fellow judge.

Lucy says their duo's name is Dunamis, which means "powerful" in Greek.

Lionel pumped his fist and yelled, "Ah I like that-" but was cut off by Katy, who said, "Woah alright! You'd best start teaching! You should teach Greek!"

Meanwhile, Lionel sighed and looked down at his notes, saying quietly, "okay."

The "Dark Horse" singer seemed to brush over him again and asked the singers, "Alright guys, well, what are you going to share with us?"

This led detractors to express their displeasure on Reddit.

"Does anyone else get annoyed at how they leave out Lionel?" one post wondered."

"This episode Katy never looks at him, she always positions her body towards Luke," one user said. Lionel, you remind me of the third wheel in a friendship."

"This entire episode Katy had her chair turned away for example and barely looked at his eyes," a second individual remarked. And Katy and Luke are usually cracking jokes or being the loudest in auditions."

Others backed Katy Perry, claiming that Lionel Ritchie is simply a quiet and reclusive guy.

"He's quieter by nature so I don't think he minds."

Katy Perry Controversies on 'American Idol'

Meanwhile, Katy Perry has already been involved in a controversy for her on-screen conduct.

She was chastised on Monday night for scolding two competitors and evicting one who viewers believed deserved to stay.

Orlando Bloom's fiancée was critical of Carina DeAngelo and Nutsa Abuza, who struggled to work together on their duet.

They discussed their issues with the judges prior to performance, with Carina stating that they had difficulty working together.

Katy was immediately intrigued and went in search of further information.

When Carina mentioned that Nutsa preferred to sleep before their concert rather than remain up all night, Katy remarked, "Perhaps we should just let them sing."

They then performed their song, and it was clear that their performance did not please the judges, particularly Katy.
