A legal drama is ensuing between Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars and the remaining members of the band after the latter seemed to lynch Mars out after revealing his shocking health diagnosis.

Mick Mars, one of the founding members of the heavy metal band, was offered only 5% share as he was kicked out of the group, with Nikki Six saying that he was "generous" already for giving him that sum.

Mick Mars vs Motley Crue Lawsuit

According to Billboard, Mick Mars is suing Motley Crue for "unceremoniously" terminating him following his disclosure of a chronic illness.

According to Mars' complaint filed in a Los Angeles court, it was said that he is a 25% shareholder of the band's corporate entities. In the report, he claimed that the band cut him out entirely after saying that he could no longer tour because of his underlying health condition.

Mick Mars is suffering from ankylosing spondylitis. According to The Mayo Clinic, the said condition is a type of inflammatory disease that causes some of the bones in a person's spine to fuse. The said fusing could make the bone less flexible, which in turn, makes a person hunched. In extreme cases, it could cause a person to have difficulty breathing deeply.

In response to Mars' 41 years of service to the band, the remaining members called a meeting to lynch him out and seize his share.

Firing was Done Under a Legal Cause

Apparently, the band claims that their move to fire Mars out was under a "legal cause." Despite bowing out from touring, Mars never said that he would not be playing on residencies and record anymore, nor give up his shares on everything.

Supposedly, the band owed him 25%, but Sixx and the other members only offered him 5%, which they pointed out that they had only given out of "courtesy" to him.

"Sixx made it clear to Mars that he believed that the offer was a generous one and that Mars, after 41 consecutive years with the band, did not deserve anything going forward. Sixx further 'gaslighted' Mars by severely criticizing his performances on the U.S. tour, and exclaimed that there is no way that the band could tour with Mars anymore," Mars' lawyers said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Motley Crue has since discredited the lawsuit, saying that they "did not owe Mick anything" based on the legalities of the band's contracts.
